The Music Society of Port Elizabeth will be hosting, yet again, another concert that is sure to leave you amazed. The concert will take place in the Nelson Mandela University’s South Campus Auditorium, Thursday 16 August 2018, at 19h30.

String Concert

The Music Department at Nelson Mandela University is proud to host the first String Ensemble concert of the year, directed David Bester, on Wednesday, 8 August 2018, 19:30 Bird Street Campus.


Renowned South African musician Dizu Plaatjies, founder member of the band Amampondo and current head of African Music studies at the SA College of Music UCT, will be visiting the Bay on 1 August 2018. The concert will take place at 19h00 in the Nelson Mandela University’s South Campus Auditorium. Tickets cost R80 and R50 (pensioners) and student card holders have free entrance. 


The Nelson Mandela University’s Music Department is proud is to be hosting an Eastern Cape Trio of JF Viljoen, Caleb Vaughn-Jones and Jenny Brand, on Saturday, 2 June 2018 at the Nelson Mandela University South Campus Auditorium at 19:00. Ticket prices are as follows R50 Adults, R30 Pensioners, R20 Students, tickets will be sold at the door.


The Nelson Mandela University will play host to an opera show, 'Wading Home', on 30 May 2018 in the University's South Campus Auditorium. This special concert will begin at 19:00 and there will be no entrance free but free-will donations are welcome.

An afternoon of musical delight awaits you as the Nelson Mandela University Music Department presents a special lunch hour concert, this Wednesday, 16 May 2018. The concert will take place in the South Campus Auditorium at 13h00 and entails a fusion of brass and wind music.

Piano Studio Concert

There will be a Piano Studio lunch hour concert taking place in the Nelson Mandela University’s South Campus Auditorium this Wednesday, 9 May 2018, at 13h00 and entrance is free!


The Nelson Mandela University Symphony Orchestra presents, “A Romantic Rendezvous” on Sunday, 6 May 2018. The performance will be held in the South Campus Auditorium of the Nelson Mandela University at 15:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for R50.00 from the South Campus Music Department or at the door on the day of the concert.

 


Nelson Mandela University’s Temba Ncetani & his band, Temba Ncetani Trio, will be gracing the University’s stage on Wednesday, 25 April 2018, in the South Campus Auditorium at 13h00 p.m. The entrance fee for this Lunch Hour concert is free.

Legato in Concert

The Music Department at Nelson Mandela University has the pleasure in hosting the renowned famous acapella group, Legato on 11 April 2018, 13:00, South Campus Auditorium.

Wind Studio Concert

The Nelson Mandela University’s Music Department will be hosting its next lunch hour concert, Wind Studio Concert, on 28 March 2018 , at the South Campus Auditorium.   The concert will start at 13h00 sharp and the entrance is free.


The Music Society of Port Elizabeth will play host to the Italian- based Duo Etnopolis, on Tuesday 20 March 2018 in the South Campus Auditorium at 19h30 pm. Tickets will be readily available at the venue, with R95 for adults, R80 for pensioners, R40 for students and R35 for scholars.


The Nelson Mandela University will be hosting an opera concert that is sure to leave you speechless. The concert will consist of performances from two South African-grown singers, Siphokazi Molteno and Noluvuyo Mpofu. It will take place this coming Saturday, 10 March 2018 at 19h00 p.m. in the University’s South Campus Auditorium in Summerstrand. Tickets will be available at the venue, with R150 for the general public and R75 for pensioners and students.
